The awards, which will be held on the 16 September, celebrate the very best of Bristol. With 23 categories spanning a variety of sectors, Grundon has been selected as a finalist in the environmental category – a new award for 2021 – during a virtual Grand Reveal Day on Wednesday 28 April.

On making the final, Daniel Peacey, regional sales manager for the South West said: “We are thrilled to have been selected as just one of the six finalists in the environmental category of this year’s Bristol Life Awards.

“Our environmental initiatives and campaigns are something we’re really proud of here at Grundon and it is a real honour to be recognised for this in the region.”

The company have been shortlisted for its environmental efforts throughout the past 12 months.

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Grundon continued to develop new products and services to benefit its customers throughout this challenging period, notably the disposal of Covid-19 lateral flow test materials and specialist deep cleaning programmes.

Elsewhere, waste services for key sectors, including the NHS, local authorities, and food and logistics companies have been supported; while organisations forced to close operations during lockdown have been able to take advantage of a flexible approach to waste and recycling collection schedules, including reductions and suspensions of services.

Grundon also prioritised supporting the health and wellbeing of its employees by launching a new internal communications platform. The platform enables timely sharing of company news and updates, as well as promoting key sustainability messages through weekly activities.
