Grundon has celebrated the achievements of five colleagues at its third annual Apprenticeship Graduation, recognising their hard work, dedication and commitment to learning and development.
Held on 10 September 2026 at the Earth Trust in Oxfordshire, the event brought together this year’s apprentices, their managers and colleagues to celebrate their achievements and another successful year of Grundon’s apprenticeship programme.
From business administration and sales to leadership and cyber security, the apprentices have developed a diverse range of skills and demonstrated the many different career paths an apprenticeship can support.
This year’s graduates were:
- Ryan Gregory – Regional Sales Manager, Level 3 Team Leader
- Billie Downes – Transport Office Coordinator, Level 3 Team Leader
- Radhika Sabharwal, Key Account Support, Level 3 Business Administration
- Michael Diamond, Radioactive Waste Business Development Executive, Level 4 Sales Executive
- Harry Dixon – Cyber Security Engineer, Level 6 Digital and Technology Solutions Professional
Apprentice of the Year
This year’s graduation also saw the introduction of a new Apprentice of the Year Award.
The award was presented to Harry Dixon, who successfully completed his three-year Level 6 Digital and Technology Solutions Professional apprenticeship, specialising in cyber security.
Harry’s journey is a great example of where an apprenticeship can lead. He joined Grundon in 2018 as a Level 3 IT apprentice straight from school, with no previous IT experience. Since then, he has continued to develop his skills and take on new challenges, mostly recently the completion of his Level 6 apprenticeship and promotion to become Grundon’s first Cyber Security Engineer.
Harry was nominated for the award by Richard Hardyman, Head of IT, who said:
“To see him work hard to achieve this over the last three years and for him to get a promotion afterwards to become Grundon’s first Cyber Security Engineer has been something that Harry should be very proud of himself for.”
Richard added that Harry is “a real apprenticeship success story” and, when asked what he was looking for in a new Level 3 apprentice to join his team, his answer was simply “another Harry Dixon!”
Addisen Gregory, Future Talent Lead, who heads up Grundon’s apprenticeship programme, concluded the event by saying the annual graduation is a particular highlight in his calendar.
“It’s an opportunity to get people together, meet up with apprentices, celebrate their success, hear stories of their experiences, and really find ways to encourage others and share all of the benefits that apprenticeships hold.
“We’ve seen so much progression throughout the business where people have completed apprenticeships and have been able to progress in their career, by moving up or across the Grundon ladder in different ways.”
