The 35 Under 35 awards programme has returned for another year, calling on professionals across the waste, recycling and environmental sector to put themselves or a colleague forward for recognition. Entry is free and open now.
Organised by letsrecycle.com and supported by headline sponsor Grundon, 35 Under 35 recognises individuals under the age of 35 who are demonstrating professional excellence, championing innovation and making a positive impact within their organisations or wider communities.
The programme was established to shine a light on the talent rising through the sector – people who are shaping how the industry operates today and who will lead it in the years ahead. Making the shortlist has become a meaningful marker of professional credibility, and previous winners have gone on to take on broader roles and responsibilities across the sector.
Candidates can be nominated by a peer, a manager or themselves. Entries are assessed by an independent judging panel, with a shortlist announced on 5 August 2026. The awards ceremony takes place on Wednesday 16 September at the Future Talent Hub, ESS Expo, NEC Birmingham – and is free to attend.
“The 35 Under 35 is all about recognising young talent within our industry and we are absolutely delighted to be supporting it for the ninth year. The awards provide a vital platform for these rising stars to connect with one another, share ideas, gain valuable recognition and develop their careers throughout the coming year.”
