Grundon has announced two changes to its Board of Directors to take place with effect from 1 October.
Current Managing Director Clayton Sullivan-Webb will step up to become Chief Executive Officer (CEO); while Bradley Smith, currently Sales & Marketing Director, embraces a wider role as Operations Director.
Chairman Neil Grundon said: “These new appointments reflect the ever-increasing dynamic growth of the Grundon group and ensure we have the right structure in place to drive the business forward to even greater heights.”
“As we look ahead to our 100th anniversary in 2029, it gives me great confidence to know our vision for the future is underpinned by the huge depth of understanding and experience that Clayton and Bradley bring to the table and we are very excited about where our next chapter takes us.”
Clayton’s new role will see him lead across the wider Grundon group, including subsidiaries, and with a particular focus on acquisitions and growth. He is also a Director of Grundon sister company O.C.O Technology Group, a world-leader in carbon capture technology, with operations in Asia, North America, Australia and Europe.
Bradley’s move to Operations Director underlines his wide-ranging involvement across the entire Grundon business. In addition to his current role, Bradley will be taking on full responsibility for operational activity and encompassing areas such as logistics and transport fleet.
The Grundon group now encompasses at least 10 companies, a combination of investments, joint venture initiatives and wholly-owned operations, including O.C.O Technology and Lakeside Energy from Waste.
In the last five years, Grundon has grown significantly, attaining a turnover of £170m, a balance sheet in excess of £200m and now employs close to 1000 people. The same period has seen investments in operational sites, new technologies, vehicle fleet and equipment totalling more than £79m.
