Event Waste Management

Event Waste Management

Our award-winning Special Events Services team is dedicated to the needs of the event sector. We provide a premium bespoke service to events of any size, ranging from small local activities to large outdoor festivals and sporting events.

Whether you are an event organiser, production company, event cleaning company or a direct customer, our team will work with you to identify the best waste management solution to suit your needs.

With an increasing emphasis on caring for the environment our ‘Two Bin’ system has proved very popular with event organisers. It provides an effective segregation system for mixed recyclables and general (non-recyclable) waste which, when combined with our Energy from Waste option, enables you to divert up to 100% of your event waste from landfill and significantly reduce your carbon footprint.

How can Grundon help you?

Our Special Events Services team operate throughout the year, including weekends, servicing events of every size and type. Using our own fleet of dedicated vehicles we offer a total event waste management service, including collection and recycling. This service can also include the collection of clinical waste from First Aid rooms.

We service over 100 events every year, including major events such as:

• Formula 1 British Grand Prix, Silverstone
• The Championships, Wimbledon
• Royal Regatta, Henley
• Winter Wonderland, Hyde Park
• Lapland World, Ascot
• Rewind Festival, Henley
• Sonisphere Festival, Knebworth Park
• BMW Golf Open, Wentworth
• Royal Welsh Agricultural Show

Value added service

At Grundon, we are committed to working in partnership with you to promote recycling and educate your events team on the importance of correct segregation, with the aim of increasing your recycling rates, improving your environmental performance and reducing the cost of your waste disposal.

This partnership approach is particularly successful thanks to the combination of an effective segregation system for mixed recycling and general (non-recyclable) waste, engagement of your events team and the promotion of recycling, and the combination of using Grundon’s industry-leading facilities. These state-of-the-art facilities include the option to recover green electricity from our event waste at our Energy from Waste plant, which enables you to divert up to 100% of your waste from landfill, significantly reducing both your carbon footprint and your costs.

Using their extensive experience, our Special Events Services team meets the particular and exacting requirements of the events industry. Operating from our depots in Banbury, Cheltenham, Gatwick, Oxford, Reading and Slough, we provide a total waste management service and ‘one stop shop’ for organisers of events throughout the year.
