Our shared vision is to provide a working environment free from harm by promoting a positive safety culture and improving the health and wellbeing of our workforce.
Our commitment is demonstrated by our management of Health and Safety and our continual drive to reduce accidents and incidents. We are focussed on creating a safe working environment, where our workforce feel empowered to be responsible for their own Health and Safety and that of others.
We have a robust management system, accredited to BS OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health and Safety Management) under the framework guidance of PAS 99:2012.
We strive to meet and exceed all Health and Safety legislation, codes of practice and guidelines and we are dedicated to promoting best practice across the business. We will achieve our commitment by:
- Demonstrating strong leadership and commitment to Health and Safety
- Engaging with our employees, customers, contractors, suppliers and the public
- Ensuring the competency of our workforce
- Measuring and continually improving our performance identifying and targeting key Health and Safety challenges
As part of our commitment to minimising accidents, we are signed up to both the Environmental Services Association Charter and the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management Health, Safety and Welfare Pledge.
