Transport Manager

Location Knowl Hill, near Maidenhead

If you can give us at least two years’ supervisory or managerial experience, ideally in the waste industry, then you could be assisting our Depot Manager with running the clinical waste collection services for customers such as vets and dentists at our Knowl Hill depot, between Reading and Maidenhead, efficiently and profitably. We're looking for a customer-focused approach and the ability to motivate others and build good working relationships - interested? As Transport Manager you will join us on a permanent full-time contract, earning £35-39k, depending on qualifications/skills/experience, and a host of benefits, including:

What you’ll be doing as Transport Manager
- Helping to supervise the transport office and around 40 drivers, making every effort to ensure that all customers receive their waste collection service on the due day.
- Working closely with the Depot Manager to ensure that all relevant legislation is complied with.
- Maintaining a high level of motivation and morale, and encouraging and developing individual potential.

What we're looking for in you
- Ideally hold, or willing to achieve, a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) 
- Preferably hold an ADR licence, or have a good working knowledge of ADR regulations 
- Full clean UK driving licence, ideally with LGV Class 2 (cat C) entitlement
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal
- Sound computer and cost-control skills
- Strong supervisory skills

Working hours: 7.30am-5pm Mon-Fri, plus 1 in 3 Sat mornings, 7.30am-12pm - an average of 44 hours per week. Due to the nature of the role you may need to be flexible about start and finish times and working additional hours.
