At Grundon Sand & Gravel, we are looking for an ambitious and self-motivated people-person to join our Beenham office, near Reading, on a Level 4 Sales Executive apprenticeship. We will develop and support you as you grow, starting with comprehensive and thorough induction training. Interested? The Apprentice Sales Executive role
Our four quarries supply everything from path gravels, rockery stones and shingle to all kinds of different markets, including golf courses, equestrian centres and landscaped gardens. 

As office-based Apprentice Sales Executive, you will cold-call customers via telephone and via social media and email. Working closely with our Sales Manager, you will also be expected to manage online orders and queries, as well as new and existing accounts. 
 
Your apprenticeship need-to-know
Your apprenticeship will last for 14 months, with 80% of your learning delivered ‘on the job’ and the remainder involving attending workshops and e-learning modules, equipping you with the skills to:
- sell, upsell and liaise effectively with customers
- create your own account base of customers, manage existing accounts and convert enquiries into sales.

Following successful completion of your apprenticeship, it is anticipated that your employment will become permanent.

What we're looking for in our Apprentice Sales Executive 
- Confidence, persuasiveness and ability to manage your time
- Good computer skills, including databases such as Excel
- Full driving licence desirable but not essential
- Ideally, you hold Level 5 (Grade C) GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, or are willing to gain these over the course of your apprenticeship 

Working hours: 8am-4.30pm, Mon-Fri - 37.5 hours per week
