Training Administrator

Date 02/08/22

Location Benson, near Wallingford

Organised, attention to detail, accurate, confident, sociable, flexible... Our part-time Training Administrator (you will be one of two) needs many great qualities and plays a vital role in the smooth running of our learning and development courses, which range from New Manager through to Excel. Sounds like you? Then you could be joining our Benson head office in South Oxfordshire, where our modern training suite is based, on a permanent contract and earning a competitive salary plus a host of benefits, including:

- Discretionary bonus (performance based)
- Pension scheme (you contribute 5% of pay, Grundon matches this) with life assurance cover
- Option to buy additional holiday
- Reward and discount shopping scheme
- Range of wellbeing benefits, including Employee Assistance Programme, Cycle to Work, health cash plan and discounted gyms

About the Training Administrator role
Whether delivered by our Learning & Development Trainer or external providers, you will be part of every stage: co-ordinating and scheduling (you've got to like lists!); inviting and greeting delegates; preparing the room; providing lunch and refreshments; occasionally booking hotel rooms (for employees attending courses elsewhere); organising the handouts, and follow-up evaluations.

You will also be a key part of our Induction days for recent new starters and do the behind-the-scenes prep for our compulsory driver training courses, including scheduling and getting the training materials ready.

What we’re looking for in our Training Administrator
- At least one year’s office admin experience, ideally within a training environment
- Evidence of a good level of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
- Fantastic communication skills - you will deal with every part of our diverse and interesting business, and every new starter in a huge range of different roles
- Patience and flexibility - there's inevitably some rescheduling due to cancellations, plus waiting-list juggling
- Accuracy - vital because you'll be uploading training records and double-checking that names are spelt correctly on delegate lists
- Ideally, a full UK driving licence

Working hours: 9.30am-1.30pm, Mon-Fri - 20 hours per week, with the flexibility to work full days when classroom training is being delivered. However, finding the perfect candidate is important to us, so we will consider a three-day working week.
