Hazardous or Technical Waste legislation...

Management of hazardous waste is one of the most highly regulated activities in the UK. Correct classification, packing and labeling is essential. Many sites producing hazardous waste must also be registered and detailed transport documentation (consignment notes) must be produced for every load. Strict regulations also determine the disposal methods to be employed.

Grundon’s Technical Department is fully conversant with all the regulations governing the management of hazardous waste. We can ease the way though the minefield of regulations, giving guidance and support throughout. Our "T" number system enables wastes to be tracked and audited, demonstrating compliance.

Each of the following items of waste disposal legislation contains provisions relating to the management of hazardous or technical waste:

  • The Hazardous Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2005
