Grundon undertake separate plastic collections for the London Boroughs of Ealing, Hounslow and Brent and also Guildford, Bracknell and South Bucks District Councils. We also collect plastics co-mingled with paper, card and cans which saves on transport cost, aids compaction and makes the whole process of recycling plastic viable.

Grundon can collect, bale and ship many different types of plastic. All we need are samples and a rough estimate of the tonnages you are likely to produce and then we will advise you of the most cost effective way of including plastics in your recycling stream.

This material can be, and in many cases will be, seperated and recovered by Grundon's network of Materials Recovery Facilities (MRFs). The MRF can seperate and recover a number of differnet recyclable materials including wood, metals, plastics, concrete, bricks, soils and aggregates.

Plastics can take up to 400 years to break down in a landfill. 56 % of recycled PET finds a market in the manufacture of carpet and clothing. The energy saved by recycling 1 bottle will power a computer for 25 minutes.
