A New Service for Dentists -
Fixer and Developer Disposal
We would like to take this opportunity to introduce our service for the disposal of fixer & developer.
It is extremely important that the fixer and developer is disposed of correctly and not simply poured away. It must be collected by a licensed waste management company. Grundon is a fully licensed company and supporting documents can be seen upon request. The Environment Agency regulates and monitors our incinerator to ensure that we remain compliant with our Authorisation.
The fixer and developer will be incinerated at our site at Colnbrook in a 1 tonne per hour high temperature incinerator, which is fitted with the latest technology gas clean up system to ensure that the emissions meet the most stringent standards in the EC.
The Service
- Collections every 3 months using a simple fax back form (overleaf).
- With regular collections the need for your Special Waste to be stockpiled will be removed freeing up valuable storage space.
- 5 litre containers will be used for ease of handling.
- No need to segregate fixer and developer.
- Waste will be collected by one of our dedicated carriers with your normal Clinical Waste collection.
- Grundon supply fully compliant UN Approved packaging.
- It lessens the need to deal with several contractors and is therefore beneficial for both you and Grundon.
Our Service includes the following:
- Supply of 5 litre UN Approved container.
- Labelling in accordance with Carriage Regulations.
- Paperwork to comply with Hazardous Waste Regulations 2005.
- Collection.
- High temperature incineration.

Hazardous Waste Legislation
To comply with legislation, all hazardous waste must be correctly identified and classified before it is moved. We provide a full sampling and analysis service to ensure that all the necessary regulations are met.
Our technical specialists will also assist with listing, packing and labelling hazardous waste to comply with legislation. Our team includes Dangerous Goods Safety Advisors, Chemists and ADR qualified drivers.
