Padworth Golden Shingle

All Padworth Shingles are an extremely hard naturally occurring golden yellow Thames Valley Flint Shingle from our Padworth Quarry at Aldermaston. We leave it uncrushed - washing and screening it to produce a popular and versatile and durable product with a range of uses:

  • Land drainage
  • Drainage layer for golf greens and tees
  • Decorative areas around buildings
  • Pathway, car park and driveway gravel

This is the shingle of choice for many people constructing paths, drives and shingle gardens. We recommend you phone the quarry to programme your order in advance.

Padworth has also been used to great practical and decorative effect at a number of major Golf Courses:

  • Frilford Heath Golf Club, Oxfordshire
  • Hartpury College, Gloucester
  • Carswell Golf Club, Oxfordshire
  • Waterstock Golf Club, Oxfordshire
  • Kendleshire Golf Club, Bristol, Avon
  • Blackness Golf Club, Bordon, Hampshire

Padworth Golden Shingle is available in a range of grades - 40mm, 20mm and 14/10 mm, 6mm. Graded tests are carried out by an independent laboratory.
