Landfill Waste Disposal

Landfill Waste Disposal

The disposal of waste through landfill is an important part of Grundon’s comprehensive range of waste management and environmental services. It remains one of the most effective ways of disposing of a wide range of waste material.

Whilst we enthusiastically support the waste hierarchy and focus our efforts on diversion from landfill, through the reuse and recovery of recyclable materials and the recovery of energy wherever possible, we understand that landfill is still a valuable option in the company’s diverse resource and waste management portfolio.

We operate our landfills to the highest professional standards and ensure that we minimise any impact we have on the local environment – both during and after the working life of the site. The process demands the most careful planning and design of our landfills. That’s why, for Grundon, the process of operating a landfill is scientific, systematic and controlled.

Grundon landfill sites, comply with all relevant legislation, official guidelines and codes of practice. All of our landfill sites are monitored, maintained using a number of robust and quality managed processes. The aim is to fully restore each landfill site to the highest standards to ensure that it blends in and enhances the local area, whether this is by encouraging biodiversity or creating amenities and agricultural land.

Speak to a member of our team at your local depot about how Grundon can provide landfill disposal as part of our total waste management service.
