Glass Waste Collection and Recycling Service
At Grundon we offer a simple, convenient and hassle-free glass waste collection and recycling service.
In the past the recycling of glass has always been a challenge, as it had to be colour separated, which is not only difficult to achieve but also very labour intensive. However, we provide a mixed colour glass waste collection service that not only saves you time and money, but is also environmentally friendly.
What are the benefits of Grundon’s glass collection and recycling service?
The benefits of using our glass collection and recycling service are numerous. Although glass represents a very small volume of waste produced by most businesses, due to its weight it can dramatically increase your waste disposal cost if it is disposed of in your general/residual waste container or bin. By segregating the glass waste and having a dedicated collection service for it, you can make a significant contribution not only to your recycling figures, but also reduce your disposal costs. The service also provides an environmentally friendly way of disposing of your glass waste, as the glass is diverted from landfill and is recycled into aggregates for use in construction and road building.
We’ll supply you with a 240 litre Waste Wheeler container, depending on the volumes of glass waste produced. Our dedicated recycling vehicle will empty your container(s) and transport the glass waste to a specialist re-processor for recycling.
Our convenient collection and recycling service is ideal for pubs, clubs, bars, restaurants, hotels or any businesses that find it hard to separate the different colours of glass or just doesn’t have the room for three separate glass bins.
