Grundon is passionately committed to ensuring that you have the key training to be confident, competent and customer-focused in your role. As a new Grundon employee, you will receive a comprehensive induction to the company, ensuring that you expand upon your existing skills and develop those required to successfully complete your role. 


During your first few months, and to ensure you are working safely, legally and proficiently, you will also complete operational training, health and safety training, and soft skills training – training that is essential to your role. We do not discriminate and are sympathetic to individual needs, providing a holistic approach to training.

Delivering an excellent customer experience is fundamental to our success. You will also receive training on how we do it at Grundon, to ensure we continue to consistently deliver a high standard of customer service.

We will continue to support you throughout your career with Grundon – after all, we are only as good as the employees we have and we actively encourage personal development and internal promotion.

Grundon supports apprenticeship schemes, and applications are dealt with individually in line with your commitment to develop, as well as the future needs of Grundon. The company also offers National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) and Qualifications Credit Framework (QCF), and we provide on-going in-house Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) training.

Another benefit to working for Grundon is that we are proud to be part of a government led initiative, EU Skills, which will invest in skills development and delivery in the waste industry. This will ensure that our people have the skills required for today and in the future. The commitment we have made to the industry partnership enables us to proactively share best practice across the sector and work together to produce accredited industry-wide training.
