About Us

Grundon Waste Management works in partnership with customers large and small to help them minimise the financial and environmental impacts of their waste.

Unlike many other companies we operate from six collection depots throughout the south of England, we own all of our vehicles and facilities giving us complete control of our operations with little need to sub contract any work. This allows us to provide you with an uninterrupted and reliable service.

Our distinctive approach, developed over half a century, has not only helped to maintain our leading position in the industry but also combines a commitment to quality of service and technological progress with real and demonstrable concern for the environment.

We supply the full range of container types & sizes from 120 litre wheeled bins up to 27 cubic metre on-site compactors, and employ in-house compactor engineers to ensure uninterrupted service.

Our customers can find all their treatments with a single supplier with our wide range of industry-leading treatment facilities – including;

  • materials recovery
  • hydroclaves for clinical waste
  • high temperature incineration for medical and hazardous wastes
  • hazardous waste transfer station
  • aerosol recycling
  • waste-to-energy

Because we have always been trailblazers in the use of Best Available Technology (BAT), customers can be confident that Grundon will offer industry-leading solutions to their waste management requirements.  We help to keep organisations compliant with all applicable waste and environmental legislation.

The company was founded in 1929 by Stephen Grundon, initially as a haulage company and later with interests in the quarrying of sand and gravel. With the need to dispose of the growing volumes of waste arising from our towns and cities, exhausted quarries found new use as landfill sites. So began the transition from a local aggregate supply business into a multi-million pound regional group with focus in waste collection, resource and energy recovery.

Our sister company, Grundon Sand & Gravel Limited operates a number of quarries supplying high quality sands, gravels and decorative stone to the construction, leisure and landscape markets.
